Why Interior Cleanliness Matters
Modern drivers spend hundreds of hours a year inside their vehicles. This leads to a buildup of dust, organic oils, lint, commuter residue, and crumbs in seat joints, air vents, and seat belts. Poor maintenance can lead to mildew, interior glass fogging, and unpleasant cabin odors.
We avoid using cheap, high-silicone gloss sprays. While these sprays look shiny at first, they leave a sticky residue that attracts dust, creates distracting dashboard glare, and can make pedals and steering wheels dangerously slippery.
Our Systematic Interior Process
We approach the cabin as a combination of sensitive electronic parts, delicate plastics, and porous materials. Our cleaning steps prioritize fabric structure and clear instrumentation screens.
1. High-Filtration Dust Extraction
We vacuum seats, floors, and compartments using high-suction vacuums with fine brush tips. This helps prevent abrasive grit from cutting pile fibers in floor carpets over time.
2. Delicate Touchpoint Cleaning
We clean steering wheels, indicators, door handles, and screens using pH-neutral interior cleaners and clean microfiber cloths. This safely breaks down grease and oils without stripping soft-touch matte finishes or wearing down leather stitching.
3. Fabric and Floor Mat Care
Floor carpets take the brunt of UK winter wetness. We extract dirt and road grime from mats, and use low-moisture steam to clean fibers safely without soaking them. This prevents mold and damp smells from developing in the sub-flooring.
4. Leather and Trim Preservation
Natural leather needs to breathe. We clean leather seats using pH-neutral foaming cleansers and soft horsehair brushes to clear pores without scratching. We then apply specialized conditioners to keep the leather soft and help prevent cracking from UV exposure.
5. Glass Clarification
Gases released by cabin plastics can form a hazy film on inner windshields that catches headlights at night and impairs vision. We use clean microfiber towels and alcohol-free glass cleaners to remove this film safely, leaving windows clean and clear.
A Note on Persistent Odours
While we use high-suction extraction and odor-neutralizing agents, we do not guarantee the complete removal of strong smells like historic pet urine or stale cigarette smoke. Results depend heavily on how deeply the smells have soaked into seat foams and sub-floor insulation.
